Requirements for hosting workshop

  • Host Athletic Trainer(s) must perform duties of the program chair.
  • Ability to reserve all areas of facility, if needed, the evening before and all day Saturday.
  • Facility must be available to GHATS at no cost. The Workshop can be classified as a co-curricular activity for administrative purposes.
  • Three areas in close proximity, to be used for labs with a capacity of 150-175 people each.
  • Custodial services provided at little or no cost by the host campus or school district.
  • Capacity for in-house copying of program booklet, speaker handouts, and other paperwork associated with the workshop.
  • Printing of certificates and signs for workshop.
  • Area available for 150-250 poster presentations.
  • Area available, with electric accessibility for 15-20 exhibitors to display products.
  • Areas available, with electrical accessibility, for 15-20 college/university representatives to meet with student athletic trainers.
  • Tables/seating for meals, labs, exhibitors and college personnel.
  • Audio-visual needs such as computer access for Power Point presentations. laser pointers, portable P.A. system, screens, overhead projectors, microphones, TV's, LED projectors, and extension cords.
  • Computer, printer, and space for registration chair on the morning of Workshop.
  • Office or secure area for workers, speakers, and guests to leave coats, purses, and other items while in attendance.
  • Police officer in accordance with host campus/school district requirements.
